Happy Heart Day

on February 15, 2009

When you are married with children, Valentine’s Day becomes more about the kids than anything.  I think this is especially true when they are young and you don’t have a babysitter.

Tessa and I made pink heart pancakes for breakfast and spent some mommy-daughter time together.  It was really fun.  Tessa loves to cook and clean…I’m sure she’ll grow out of it once she’s actually old enough to do a good job.

For dinner we had our traditional heart shaped pizza and bread sticks.  The kids planted valentine flowers for the window sill.  They also enjoyed a visit from my parents, who spoiled them with a lot of valentine candy.

No, not yet. They are here visiting to pick stuff out for their new house. My mom is moving back in April….and my dad will follow in May or June.
