For the last six years, I have been using a Cpap that I refer to as my “breathing machine”. I have sleep apnea and it allows me to sleep AND breath at the same time. From the first night that I received it, I have LOVED it dearly. It is the greatest thing ever and I cannot live without it.
The past few months, it’s not been working properly and I could hear the motor dying. I slowly got more and more tired and decided that I better look into getting a new one. After a few hundred calls I finally got a new machine……and it’s so CUTE!!! My old machine was at least twice it’s size and weight. It also comes with a cute little “laptop” case to carry it in.
I put on the mask to show Joey and he said that I look like Gonzo. I agreed that it does “sorta” look like Gonzo, but I’m sexier.

My parents are here from Germany making selections for their new house. They called and asked if we wanted to go see a movie with them. My kids LOVE to go to the movies and they LOVE popcorn even more. We went to see Coraline. It was a really cute movie and Tessa sat through the entire movie….it was a modern day miracle.
If it’s free, you know I’ll be there. It was free pancake day at IHOP and I took my whole class for a field trip. I sat with Jan and had a good time showing her how to make “lemonade” with equal packets and a lemon. It was very enjoyable. We were seated within two minutes and outta there in twenty. Much better than the Denny’s fiasco. If you’re interested in free pancake day for next year….it’s always in February on “fat tuesday”. Check their website for details.
There were a few faculty members at today’s luncheon commenting on what a moron Chris Buttars is. I can’t remember the exact words they were using to describe him, but they were not complimentary. I listened for a bit and then casually added, “He’s my grandpa. Chris Buttars is my grandpa.”

I became a “master” last spring and in doing so became an “expert” in the field of managing para-educators. I put together a slide show presentation and taught teachers how to manage/supervise their aides…in a nutshell.
We’ve had “late start” days because of testing and so Jana and I decided to make all of our staff breakfast. I made the pancakes and Jana made the eggs. Aren’t we the nicest and funniest “bosses” in the whole world? I think so.
We went out for dinner for Katie’s (my sister-in-law) birthday last night. We ate at Windy’s Sukiyaki, a place that I’ve never been before. They had really good calamari and my salmon was pretty great as well. My kids were obnoxious and I thought that Bob (father-in-law) was going to die of embarrassment. I don’t think he’s used to dining with toddlers. Nate threw a giant tantrum and Tessa spilled her drink. Averi was perfect, however. I was jealous. Maybe it was her birthday present to her mom?
There is an episode of “Friends” where Monica works really hard to remodel their new apartment (after moving across the hallway) to make it suitable for her friends to hang out in just so that she could be the hostess again. When all of the friends finally come over and start to eat her food and enjoy her living space, she lays down on the couch and falls asleep saying, “I’m always the hostess”. Well, I can totally relate to Monica because I love to be the hostess. It’s sort of my hobby. My cousin Becky and I, we have this in common and love to come up with all sorts of party ideas. We are going to write a book one day.
I have been on the Activities Committee in my ward for almost three years. I am kind of sick of it, although I can admit that it’s a job that “suits” me. Last year, I suggested that we hold a “best pajamas” contest at our annual Groundhog Breakfast, and the Bishop thought that was a swell idea. It was a hit and has now become somewhat of a tradition.
